AT&T Pioneers Dish It Up
Dish It Up is a massive volunteer initiative to provide families in need with healthy food. Pioneers collect healthy, nutritious, nonperishable food donations for local food banks, prepare and serve meals at local shelters and churches, fill backpacks with healthy snacks or easy to prepare weekend food for children and deliver meals those unable to prepare them for themselves.
The Silver State chapter donated 225 items weighing 231 pounds to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. This equals to 193 meals!

6/23/18 1st AT&T Pioneers Charity Mini Golf Tournament
Beautiful day to hold our first ever AT&T Pioneers Charity Mini Golf Tournament! David Collier did a great job organizing and putting together this fun event held at the Magic Carpet Golf in Reno, NV. Lots of help from Beth, Jackie and Sheryl. Those beautiful gift baskets were awesome. The tournament offered prizes and a hole in one raffle.
A big box of children’s socks and underwear were donated as well as $110 during the event. The Silver State chapter increased the cash amount and was able to deliver the donated items along with a $250 check to the Step 2 organization.
Lots of fun had by all with an opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life.
10/20/18 AT&T Community Engagement Contribution Grant of $5,000 Presented to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN) was the recipient of the AT&T Community Engagement Contribution grant in 2018. At least 50 volunteer hours with the Food Bank were reported by the Silver State chapter.
The check presentation was held on the same day as the BBB Secure Your ID day which is a community shredding event. This event has also become the biggest 3 hour collection event for FBNN . Several AT&T employees, many who are Pioneers, donated their time to this event held at the Plumb Lane location.

6 of us were able to volunteer on Saturday, September 29th, at the FBNN distribution center. It was great to meet other volunteers as we were working together sorting and packing boxes.
READ MORENovember 2018 Camp Fire Donations
Many employees and retirees donated much needed items such as gift cards, care kits, infant formula, undergarments, socks, bedding, diapers, toilet paper, non-perishable foods and clothes for those impacted by the Camp Fire in CA. The Silver State chapter also purchased additional items from local area stores for donation and contributed to the AT&T Pioneers Disaster Relief Fund. A truck was packed full and delivered to a Chico/Paradise area Salvation Army on Tuesday, November 20th by our local C&E folks. Thanks to all for your generosity!
